Our latest Gift of Life child

At the Thursday, February 21th meeting of the Paramus Rotary Club the membership welcomed their latest Gift of Life Child from Honduras Central America, Belsy Maricet Medina Rivera. Belsy's catheterization was performed on February 13th at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, and her care was coordinated with the help of St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ, She had a stent inserted in her artery to improve the flow of blood to her brain

Also pictured standing are Lisa Macaya-Bertin, a Rotary District 7490 GOL committee member, Ray Hough, Executive Director of the Rotary District 7490 Gift of Life Foundation, and Maryann Siniscalchi, president of the Paramus Rotary Club.

Rotary's Gift-Of-Life program is one of the most important and gratifying things we do - give the gift of life to another who, without our help, would likely perish.
