I am sure some of you are familiar with the Wikipedia.com which is a wiki encyclopedia that the whole world participates in writing. We are doing the same thing in a smaller scale. We do have a history long and interesting enough to record and they are worth passing on to the next generation.
If you are interested, this is what you do…
First, login as a user of this website
If you don't have an account yet, register as a member of this website by
clicking here
After registration you will receive a temporary password in your email
Use the username and password to login
Once logged in, click on “Participatory” on the menu bar again
From the dropdown menu choose “Join a Wiki Project”
You will see under the Wiki Project heading “Paramus Rotary History”
Click on that green link and you will see the history page (all links are green)
At the bottom of that page you should see “Edit this page”
Click on “Edit this page” and start writing
Once you are on the editing mode, you will see above the editing area a link to the “Syntax” and a “Playground” for you to practice. It is worth learning the syntax because what we have is a standard wiki and you will be able to apply it in most other wiki systems.
Please let me know if you have any comments.
